The library is currently hiring student workers for the following positions.  Please stop by the library office or write to Dr. Morris at davidmorris (at) kenrick.edu, indicating which positions interest you, and your scheduling availability:

Circulation Assistants (hiring 5-7):

• Staff the library circulation desk during evening and weekend hours.
• Use the circulation system (Sierra) to check books out to patrons and to check in returned books.
• Occasionally assist with sorting through book donations and checking e-resource links.
• Answer basic walk-up questions.

Cleaner (hiring 1-2):

• Help keep the library clean by working in a set rotation.
• Duties include wiping down desks and surfaces, dusting, checking lower-level bins, some vacuuming.
• Flexible scheduling: can work during library office hours (M-F, 8am-4pm), or evenings and weekends.

Office Assistant (hiring 1-2):

• Assist the library staff with book and journal processing.
• Duties include stamping books, affixing spine labels, sorting through donations, and other duties as assigned.
• Attention to detail is a must!
• Must be able to work during library office hours (M-F, 8am-4pm), for 30-60 minutes per shift.

Pages (hiring 2-3):

• Assist the library with its new “Page & Pickup” service.
• Duties include retrieving books requested through the catalog by Kenrick and Rigali patrons and using the circulation system (Sierra) to check them out.
• Must be able to work weekday mornings (after 8 am), for 30-60 minutes at a time.
• Must know the Dewey Decimal system and be able to pass a basic test to be hired.
